Freshmen Seminar Presentations
One of our projects with the most impact is the mindfulness presentations we give to all of the Freshman Seminar classes at our school. One of our objectives is to create a mindful culture at the school, and now that we have completed 3 years of these presentations, 75% of our school has been exposed to mindfulness practices. By next year, we will have trained the entire school in mindfulness! Through these presentations, we provided information about stress and its effect on our bodies and gave the students and staff tools to handle stressful situations. Our presentations are interactive and packed with activities that promote mindful breathing, mindful eating, mindful listening and mindful coloring.
